The Pacers made a long-term commitment to All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton on Friday night, signing him to a five-year extension worth up to $260 million.
Haliburton, who averaged 20.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per game this past season, wasted no time sharing his thoughts on his new deal.
A few minutes after Haliburton’s contract extension was announced, he posted a video of former WWE star Ted DiBiase laughing.
DiBiase was known as the “Million Dollar Man” during his time in the ring.
Here’s the tweet from Haliburton that went viral:

We’re not sure if Friday’s deal makes Haliburton the “260 Million Dollar Man.” All we know is that he’s going to be quite wealthy for a long time.
Haliburton’s deal is the largest in Pacers history. It also marks the second time the franchise handed out a contract that exceeds $100 million.
Time will tell if this ends up being a smart move for the Pacers.
