The newly renovated Fieldhouse will be unveiled with a new name on the outside.
The Pacers announced on Monday morning the Indianapolis-based Gainbridge will be the new naming partner for the Fieldhouse, so start getting used to referencing the Pacers home at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Fieldhouse maintained Bankers Life after the naming rights deal ran out until they could find a new partner. With drastic offseason renovations and more on the way that make the future of the building quite impressive, Pacers Sports and Entertainment was able to work out a deal with Gainbridge CEO Dan Towriss, to deliver a local company to support the home of the Pacers and Fever.
Gainbridge stepped up in recent years to help sponsor Indy Car races and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and have seen those efforts rewarded with a racing series that is trending in the right direction. Now they are increasing that local support by adding a presence downtown. As Towriss said, “Indianapolis is our (Gainbridge) home and now we have a house.”
The naming transition from Conseco to Bankers Life was challenging and this change will no doubt take some time to get used to. During his Media Day interview, Myles Turner was talking about being excited to see fans back at Bankers Life…then caught himself and wondered, what is the new name?
Here’s the intro video PS&E showed to begin the announcement.
