2 NBA Teams Canceled Their Practices On Thursday

A pair of NBA teams canceled their respective practices on Thursday due to health and safety protocols.

The Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers called off their workouts out an “abundance of caution”, according to multiple reports.

Both teams were in action on Wednesday night. The Raptors fell in a heartbreaker to the Oklahoma City Thunder, while the Pacers blew out the New York Knicks at home in Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Toronto is 11-14 on the year, while Indiana is 11-16.

It’s unclear exactly what circumstances led to Thursday’s decision from the two Eastern Conference teams. The only player on the Pacers that’s been sidelined by health and safety protocols recently is forward Justin Holiday, but he was ruled out back on Nov. 30 and has been expected to return soon.

As of Wednesday, the Raptors did not have any players ruled out due to health and safety protocols.

Each club is scheduled to return to the court on Friday, with Toronto set to welcome in the Knicks to Scotiabank Arena. Indiana will remain at home for a matchup with the Dallas Mavericks.

Stay tuned for more on the developing situations with the Raptors and the Pacers as additional information becomes available.
